FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long has Prosedium been in business?
Prosedium was founded in the US 14 years ago in response to client demand for dedicated, focused and efficient technology services that are needed for the physical relocation of devices. Since then we have expanded to cover all of Canada and the US with teams of trained technicians and managers strategically located across North America to ensure we deliver migration success on-time, on-budget and with minimum disruption to the clients IT services environment.
Is Prosedium properly insured?
Prosedium carries five million dollars in General Liability insurance. General Liability insurance covers material property that is in the care and handling of our technicians at both ends of a transition, while cargo (or transportation) insurance is required to cover goods that are in transport between sites. Prosedium, like most transportation carries, provides nominal cargo insurance as a default. Part of our transition process is educating our clients with regard to how much cargo (transportation) insurance they might need, and how best to finance it. Most clients are pleasantly surprised to find that they either are already covered through their existing property and casualty provider, or can purchase coverage through an inexpensive rider. If in-house coverage is not available or is inconvenient to organize, we can provide coverage for you for a reasonable premium. It is important to note that Prosedium has never had an insurance claim on any of our transitions.
What do I need to provide Prosedium to get a budgetary quote?
We need to know the origin address(es) and the destination address(es) of all transitions that you will need support on, and as detailed an inventory of what needs to be moved in each transition as you have available (ideally mfg/make, model and U-count). The target date(s) for the transitions and any other special requirements should also be provided, including whether a transition is to be divided up into multiple weekends. A Prosedium transition specialist can always be reached ahead of time to discuss proposal requirements and provide advice on best practices.
